        Eskdale to Ravenglass railway

         Take a trip on the little steam train from  

         Eskdale to the coast.

      Cumbrian Heavy Horses Centre

         Go and see the beautiful shire horses -

         you can even arrange to ride them along

         the beach. Cafe.

      St Bees beach and beach cafe

        A lovely wide, sandy beach with the fells

         as a backdrop, with children’s playground

         and beach cafe.

       Eskdale Golf Course

        Spend a day on this stunning range

        with a visitor’s pass.

       Eskdale Mill

        One of the oldest water-powered corn mills

        in England - with its historic machinery

        it’s now the last remaining working mill

        in the Lake District.


         The deepest lake, by the tallest mountain

         with the smallest church in England.

         Walk in this breathtaking place, see the

         little climbers’ church and have lunch at

         the inn.

      Go Ape, Grizedale

        A day out at one of the Lakes’ most

         popular attractions: this amazing tree-top

         adventure park is just 45 minutes drive.


        A quaint, ancient little town with the

        old grammar school where Wordsworth

        went to school, Beatrix Potter Galleries,

        lovely little shops, cafes and inns, plus

        great walks.

        Coniston boat trips

        Take a trip on the steamer or one of the    

        pleasure boats on the lake.


     Beatrix Potter’s Hilltop Farm,

         Dove Cottage, Grasmere,  John Ruskin’s

        Brantwood, Windermere and Ambleside      

        are all within easy reach.

This area is fantastic for mountain bikes, 

  and we’ve got dry, secure storage for up

  to10 cycles - plus a hose for cleaning them

  down after a brilliant day’s biking!
